At some point you will need to be able to set you own calendar. There are some things you need to know. It's not super easy to do. Sometimes I go almost to the end of a year and realize it won't work because of some public holiday on a Monday and that's supposed to be my next shopping day. Sometimes I go right through it all again. Or sometimes I take the easy way and do two weeks running the same day. Or skip one day instead of two. Eg. It's supposed to be a Friday shop but because of what's ahead in a few weeks I might go to a Thursday even though I am doing a Quicksave calendar and we don't usually have Thursday shops on Quicksave, then I go to the Friday and back to the pattern. I guess the best way to describe it is it's like playing a game of chess. You need to be thinking a few moves (in this case weeks) ahead.
I found the hardest part of the year to do is Christmas time. My biggest piece of advice for setting your own calendar is if you don't like crowded shops, start at the end of the year and work backwards. That is if your doing a January to December calendar. Either way just be mindful of Christmas/New year public holidays.
You may not need to do your own calendar just yet. You could be good to go with one
that I have prepared for you, and that's great if your ready. Let me ask you, "Are you really ready to go" I want you to make sure on your few weeks leading up to starting you've done all the ground work and you've got an extra couple of meals in the cupboard or freezer.
I mean you are used to shopping for seven days not eight or nine. Most people do have extra food on hand but if you don't, stock up first before starting. Same goes for bathroom goodies shampoo, soap etc.
